$ES_F - S&P futures - Daily chart: After giving back yesterday’s gains, I am looking for some stability and for price to get above that 5d MA. Why? That would signal a change in the short term trend, which is a first step (other than an oversold bounce) and price is struggling with that right now. I am also watching for an improvement in market breadth which has been atrocious in August.
1hr chart: Price remains inside its Value Area, that is a good thing and support to watch is 4392. However, price may be making lower highs and will need to get out of that pattern. The bullish 80% rule remains in effect.
QQQ - NDX 100 ETF - Daily chart: Price slightly stronger than S&P because price held above its 5d MA. That will be something to watch today along with NVDA earnings post close.. note, NVDA is 4.5% of the QQQ and the implied move is 11% for earnings. NVDA has risen 6 out of its last 10 quarters and the avg move is 7.8% in those last 10 quarters.
1hr chart: Price is in the middle of its Value Area for the week and the bullish 80% rule remains in effect.
IWM- Russell Small Cap ETF- Daily Chart: Price for now is holding above its 200d MA & that is the support to keep an eye on.
1hr chart: Price right at the bottom of its Value Area for the week , keep an eye on $184.26 for direction.
